This guide will show you how to obtain the glowing Skybuilders' Relic Gathering Tools obtained by completing the Skysteel Tool Quest Chain. The Skybuilders' Tools come with eye-catching glowing effects than can be Glamoured over your Main Hand Gathering Tool.

Gatherer Class Level 90 with BiS Gear

All Heavensward and Stormblood Aether Currents Unlocked

  • You will need to have your aether currentAether Currents unlocked to fly to and reach all required gathering locations

Beginning Skysteel Tool Quest Chain

  1. To begin the Skybuilders' Tool Quest Chain, switch to the disciple of handCrafting or disciple of landGathering Class that you wish to obtain the Tool for
  2. Speak to the Skysteel Engineer in Foundation (X: 14.2, Y: 12.5), easily reached from The Brume Aetheryte
  3. You'll obtain a Skysteel Prototype coffer that will reveal the i440 Skysteel Tool

Additional Prototype Skysteel Tools can be bought from Denys in Foundation (X: 8.0, Y: 10.0), easily reached from the Skysteel Manufactory Aetheryte . The signature skyballSignature Skyball lure required for the Fisher Quest Chain can also be bought from Denys.

Upgrading to Dragonsung Tool

Neillemard standing outside the Skysteel Manufactory building will give you the quest feature questWork It Harder, Make It Better to upgrade your Skysteel Tool twice and present it to Nimie in Foundation (X: 7.9, Y: 10.6).

Denys' menu window will also reveal which items you need to gather to exchange with him for upgraded Tools.

Hidden items can be revealed via the Action luck of the mountaineerLuck of the Mountaineer / luck of the pioneerLuck of the Pioneer. Utilize your GP to gather the Hidden Items first. For Fishing, use identical castIdentical Cast -> double hookDouble Hook to increase your yield.

You can gather the materials for the first and second upgrades before completing any hand-ins with Denys to exchange for the new Tool. Accept another quest from Neillemard standing outside the Skysteel Manufactory and complete it by speaking to Nimie standing next to him.

For minerMiner and botanistBotanist, you will need to trade 500 of one of the required materials for 50 gobbiegooGobbiegoo (10 materials per gobbiegooGobbiegoo).

Only 6 gobbiegooGobbiegoo are required for fisherFisher.

Materials can be exchanged for gobbiegooGobbiegoo by Denys in Foundation (X: 8.0, Y: 10.0).

For minerMiner and botanistBotanist, you will need to trade 600 of one of the required materials for 60 highly viscous gobbiegooHighly Viscous Gobbiegoo (10 materials per highly viscous gobbiegooHighly Viscous Gobbiegoo).

Only 7 highly viscous gobbiegooHighly Viscous Gobbiegoo are required for fisherFisher.

Materials can be exchanged for highly viscous gobbiegooHighly Viscous Gobbiegoo by Denys in Foundation (X: 8.0, Y: 10.0). 

Hidden items can be revealed via the Action luck of the mountaineerLuck of the Mountaineer / luck of the pioneerLuck of the Pioneer. Utilize your GP to gather the Hidden Items first. For Fishing, use identical castIdentical Cast -> double hookDouble Hook to increase your yield.

You must have your Augmented Dragonsung Tool equipped while gathering the required materials.

Once you've gathered and exchanged the required items with Denys, hand them to Nimie in Foundation (X: 7.9, Y: 10.6) to upgrade your Augmented Dragonsung Tool. You will need to unequip the Tool to hand it in.

Speak to Neillemard standing outside the Skysteel Manufactory to accept the feature questOddness in the End quest, you will then need to speak to Emeny in The Firmament (X: 9.7, Y:14.6) to complete the quest. For minerMiner and botanistBotanist, you will need to trade 36 Oddly Delicate Collectables at 1000 Collectability for 250 Oddly Delicate Parts (7 per Part). You will also need to trade 750 Oddly Delicate Materials from The Diadem for 25 Inconceivably Delicate Parts (30 per Part).

For fisherFisher, you will need to trade between 50 to 100 Collectable Fish for 200 Oddly Delicate Parts depending on the Collectability of the Fish caught. This will need to be completed for Fishing Rod Parts and Fishing Reel Parts.

You must have your Skysung Tool equipped while gathering the required materials.

Collectables Gathering

For this stage, you will need to gather Collectables. For minerMiner and botanistBotanist, Collectables need to be at the max collectability of 1000 to minimize the number of items that you need to hand in.

Use the following rotation to reach max Collectability (Requires 400 GP).

If you activate any buffs by chance, you can replace the last Scour with Meticulous Prospector.

For fisherFisher, you will need to enable the skill collectCollect to enable the Collector's Glove buff. Use patience iiPatience II along with identical castIdentical Cast to catch larger fish for a higher Collectability rating.
